I am a self proclaimed professional dieter. Can you relate? I have struggled with my weight since childhood and I’ve tried a version of every diet out there. They all worked when I stayed focused on the plan that was given to me or how it was outlined, but every time I found myself “falling of the wagon”. Every time a diet didn’t work I felt like a failure and I would gain back all the weight I lost plus some. I felt frustrated, & discouraged, but mostly I felt ashamed.
Through some difficult things in my life I realized I needed to take a closer look at my thoughts and how they could help me achieve this goal of losing weight for good. I learned that all those diets actually taught me some incredible lessons. I learned that I didn’t need someone to tell me what to eat, I needed someone to believe in me and help me feel good enough about myself to keep moving forward each day.
